FISH LEFT (L)OVERS
Growing up near the beach, my connection with the sea was the foundation of my research into fish waste. More than a quarter of waste from fishing is discarded. This causes not only a significant environmental impact, but also a loss of the potential value of these products. Fish-Left-(L)overs recovers the fish waste, in detail scales and bones and through a DIY approach I had the possibility to create different samples in order to show the potential of the material. This project isn’t focus on solving wastage, but it looks at waste material with new eyes in order transform it into an alternative resource that has an intrinsic useful value as biodegradability.
